Client sync stucked at 98% (block 1573000)

#1

WIN10, desktop client, latest version (Halo 1.31)

The problem I am having is:
My PC crashed and after that blockchain stucked at 98%.It couldnt sync more no matter how long i tried it. rescan didnt help either. It shows some connection after i start it but later it shows “disconnected” status.
What i tried:
1.Rescan blockchain
2.Remove bitbay data folder and reinstal (it stucked at 68% with same problem)
3.Remove bitbaydata folder and download huge part of blockchain (stucks at block 1573000 again)
Antivirus and windows defender is off.

Thats my debug file:

@set456gyt
its seems that you are having connection problems as you might have some old peers in your configuration

Please shut down the client (make sure is shut down and not hidden in the system tray)
go into C:\BitBay\bitbaydata directory and erase peers.dat you check also in your bitbay.conf file and erase all lines starting with addnode= or you can actually rename bitbay.conf to bitbay.conf.bak and start bitbay again

NOTE: you can also erase bitbay.conf it if you have not customized it previously with any settings that you might need later

Wait for a while and if it does not seem to have made any difference (no connection or no blocks are coming) then you might also try the following guide which instructs you almost the opposite.

Either solution is fine if it makes bitbay have a better connection

None of those solution worked

#5

I think something has gone very wrong with your setup

I would certainly try to start from scratch / almost fresh install

#6

Hello,
As i stated i did this step before.

I also made TOTALLY fresh install and whatever it takes i cant sync to more than 98% and block 1573000

#7

sorry did not realize you did this … hope you also restarted the computer … i will have also the windows guys to have a look

#8

I removed my wallet.dat file and all errors are gone but still get main error of connection.I cant really understand why because it syncs well up to 98%

#9

It looks like you had to -reindex or resync the chain. The authproxy errors are RPC related. Is there anything that also uses port 19915?! For whatever reason it has trouble reconnecting during sync. Nothing is interfering with sync?!

#10

Nothing i know of.It keep resynchronizing block 1573000 and discinnects after some time, not connecting later.
It happend after crash, was working fine before.

I checked with resource manager and only bitbayd.exe uses port 19915

#11

I would delete bitbaydata and sync again. If your fresh install gets stuck, send me debug.log in bitbaydata so I can diagnose

#12

New clean install without my old keyes and wallet.dat and without dloading blockchain?

#13

It doesn’t have to be a new install, just go ahead and delete the contents of bitbaydata directory… also you might want to open your private keys from the file menu so the address gets added to the wallet.dat file again. And of course always make sure you back up your keys.

#14

Ok its syncing up, will update tomorrow if it worked or if stucked again.

#15

Ok its solved client synced up from 0 when no keyes or wallet.dat were connected.
After copying them into my bitbay folder i have acess again.
I guess mistake was trying to use bootstrap before to quicken the process.

#16

Glad you could get it to sync !!
